Subject was the classified eighth member of Project Mercury and joined the G.I. Joe team in 1966 as their liaison with NASA. He would go on to participate in several highly classified missions during the late 60s and early 70s. Although his involvement with Project Mercury has been declassified (though redacted), his subsequent missions are still top secret. Why? Rumor has it that the missions involved encounters with UFOs and possibly aliens. Hard to believe, but there is a reason this information has not been released.

"When I was recruited into the Air Force's fighter pilot training program, I had no idea the job would lead me into space! After my training and the success I achieved flying high-tech jets, I became one of the men assigned for duty in the Mercury series of U.S. manned space flights. A 3,000 lb. Mercury capsule was my home for 31 hours as I orbited the earth more than 20 times. It was a job where I had to be a pilot, a research scientist, and a pioneering explorer all at the same time, and it was the most thrilling challenge a pilot could ever undertake."
