JOSEPH COLTON
SECRETARY OF DEFENSE

FILE NAME: Joseph B. Colton, Jr.
PRIMARY SPECIALTY: Tactical Planning
SECONDARY SPECIALTY: Training and Intelligence
BIRTHPLACE: Washington, D.C.

Following in his father's footsteps, Joe Colton graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, receiving the academy's highest possible honors. Colton joined Army Special Forces and then the 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta SFOD-D, commonly referred to as Delta Force. As a Delta operator, Colton participated in numerous counterterrorism missions, hostage rescues, direct action missions, and special recon. Colton rose through the ranks and went on to lead the most complex, classified and dangerous missions Delta was assigned. Colton was seriously injured on a black ops mission and forced to retire from the military. He was then appointed the second youngest Secretary of Defense in U.S. history.

Colton's parents, Jane and Joe Sr. were members of the original incarnation of the Adventure Team, a black-ops team who operated under the guise of a non-military group of adventurers and explorers. Recognizing the need for a modern day version of the team, Colton recruits some of the best soldiers and scientists to serve as the new Adventure Team!
