Red Hammer fought in WWII for the Russians and afterwards joined the Red Shadows. He eventually became their leader in the late 50's. In the early 60's, Red Hammer, together with General Blitz and Black Dragon, formed the "The Triumvirate" which battled the original G.I. Joe Team.
Red Hammer was captured in 1969, and his successor was Wilder Vaughn.
